Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins was bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami which provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was an Sports Reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then, in 2009 the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues as well as drug trafficking and other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter at the newscast of 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast of 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and also a Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. Her duties as an anchor for sports or weather were often requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. There she had more duties. She reported on The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was appointed as the anchor for sports by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The same job was held as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins was born in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's older than her sister. The family relocated to Miami following the move out of Mexico to the US. After a while they separated, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer in which she was offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew what she was going to be doing. The result was that she enjoyed the university as well as the fact that it had the program she desired. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the University. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. It was he who inspired her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations always delivering on time.
